BELLS, Texas (October 23, 2019) — In just over a week, race teams will take to the bullring known as Grayson County Speedway in northeastern Texas for the running of the Texas Big 4 event.
Modifieds, SportMods, Stock Cars, and Factory Stocks will be the featured classes. Two sets of heats will be run for each class on Friday with “B” and “A” Features scheduled for Saturday. Eco Mods will run a full show each day with $250 to the winner on Friday and $500 to the winner on Saturday.
Thursday kicks off the week with a practice night and a Dirt Dominator. For those unfamiliar, the Dirt Dominator is a bracket-style race that puts drivers in a green, white, checkered situation to try and make their way through the bracket and claim the winner-take-all $1000 top prize. Each of the featured classes will run a Dirt Dominator (subject to change).
Also featured on Thursday will be Halloween at the Track. Race fans are encouraged to visit their favorite drivers on the track to trick or treat! Grandstand admission is FREE so come on down to have a good time at the track! The Dirt Dominator won’t be the only racing action on the track either, as an announcer challenge race is scheduled. Some of the voices you hear guide your attention each and every week during the racing season will hit the track themselves in search of bragging rights.
Friday night will feature live music after the races. The Armadillo Mudflaps will take the stage once racing action is complete for the night. Find more info on the band at facebook.com/thearmadillomudflaps.
A unique incentive for this race is that every featured class will have the same payout scale. The winner of each “A” Feature will pocket $1000 for their efforts. Making an “A” Feature will guarantee a $250 payday for every racer. Eco Mods will compete for a $500 prize with a $50 starting pay. There will be no entry fee for Eco Mod racers and they will compete under track rules. Full payout for all classes can be found at texasbig4.com/drivers/payout.
Grandstand admission is FREE for Thursday’s festivities. Pit passes will be $20. Friday and Saturday will be $15 general admission each day. Admission for students 18 and younger and seniors 65 years and older are both $10 each day. Kids 42″ tall and under will get in for free. Pit passes will be $35 per day.
Gates will open at 4 PM each day. Racing is scheduled to start at 7 PM all three days. For those unable to make it to the track, IMCA.TV will cover all of the action. Available on Web, Apple, Android, Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV, fans can stream the whole weekend of racing plus more on a variety of devices. Get more info at www.imca.tv.
